Last two years, the exchange project between Awty and the Erasmiaans Gymnasium Rotterdam was a huge success. For one week in April, Awty students from te International and the French section, experienced high school life and field trips in the Netherlands and we welcomed Dutch students in 9^th and 10^th grade in Awty the first week of May. This year, to prevent any interruption in the preparation for the final exams, we have moved the visit of the Dutch students forward to the week of 20-28 February. 

Again for this year the Dutch school has planned an “English immersion week” and in most classes in their klas 3 (equivalent to 9th grade) English will be the language of instruction. Therefore they are proud to invite English speaking students from 9^th  and 10^th grade. As the lessons in Rotterdam are scheduled in 9^th grade classes, Awty students in 9^th grade have preference over 10^th graders if there are more applicants than spaces. Many applicants in Rotterdam have already showed their interest in the 2009 program and are waiting for the selection, who can come to Houston .
